How To Draw A Pine Cone

10 Amazing (and Easy!) Tutorials

Introduction

If you know how to draw a pinecone, they’re not that difficult to work on. However, if you’re anything like me, and just prefer to wing it, you might face some confusion. I once had the idea that I could draw pinecones with my eyes shut. Sadly, that never happened. So, I did what I usually do, and decided to go through a bunch of YouTube tutorials on drawing pinecones. Thankfully enough, these videos helped me understand where I was going wrong, and allowed me to draw a pinecone properly.

To draw a pinecone, you first draw an egg or oval shape on a piece of paper. Cover two thirds of that oval from the top with diagonal lines in a crisscross manner, and erase the remaining round part at the bottom. Make the edges of the diagonals a bit sharper by extending them a little. Finally, draw a stalk at the top of your pinecone.
