Introduction

The cardinal is a majestic bird. This fierce and fiery looking bird is an artistic masterpiece, and to be able to capture its beauty on a canvas is truly inspiring. Although the bird itself is quite simple, painting it is a completely different task. Hence, I felt the urge to study a few tutorials on how to paint a cardinal before I started my work. This helped me paint a better looking image of the cardinal, and I think it was the right choice.

You can paint cardinals in two ways. You have the acrylic way, for a more vivid image. Then you have the watercolor way, for a more minimalistic approach. Of course, you can get similar results for both medium, depending on how you approach the overall painting.
