How To Paint Water At Night

10 Amazing (and Easy!) Tutorials

Introduction

Water bodies take on a serene and peaceful appearance at night. There’s something poetic about the whole scenery that makes you want to paint it all on a canvas. I too have experienced this emotion, and decided to give the painting thing a shot. Of course, I was no good at it at first, but then I did some work, studied a few tutorials, and eventually got the hang of it. I actually learnt a lot from these tutorials, and they helped develop my overall painting skills.

To paint water at night, you need to ensure a key element. Remember, the only natural sources of light at night are the stars and the moon. Hence, your painting will have to include light from these sources, and the water needs to show a reflection of this light. That way, your painting will look picturesque, and charm anyone who looks at it.
