Do you want to know how to draw a bird, but do not know where to start? Do not worry, I have got you covered. I too have struggled with my bird drawings, but now know how to draw them in the best and easiest way possible. And to help you out, I think can share my approach with you.

To draw the bird, we use a light pencil to work out the structure and body parts. Afterwards, we use a sharper pencil to give the drawing depth and a bold look.

First the head and body

Draw a round head and a leaf shaped body below it with a light pencil.

Darken the outline

Use a dark pencil to darken the outline.

Add a tail

At the right end of the body, draw a brush-like tail.

Draw a wing

Draw a brush-like wing pressed against the bird’s body.

Add the beak

Use a light pencil to draw a leaf-like beak on the left side of the head.

Time for the claws

Under the body, draw a pair of claws. They will look something like your pinky fingers.

Darken the outlines

Use a dark pencil to darken the outlines of the claws.

Time to draw the eyes

Draw a small circular eye on the head.

Almost done

Just add some finishing touches on the body.

Go ahead and color it

Add some lovely colors to finish things off.
