How to Draw A Brain Step by Step

Step by Step Guide

From what you can tell by looking at your science or biology book, the human brain is indeed quite difficult to draw. However, if you follow the right step by step approach, you can get it done quite easily. I too struggled with my brain drawings, but slowly overcame them. The simple steps I followed to draw the brain helped me get it done properly. And if those steps worked for me, there is no reason as to why you cannot benefit from them as well.

To draw a brain, you need to work with a lot of curved lines. There is no need for extra detailing. Just make sure the primary shape is accurate, and the rest will take care of itself.

Start with a fluffy cloud

Draw a cloud shape.

Another light cloud

Draw a smaller cloud under the right side of the bigger one. Use light pencils.

Darken the outline

Use a dark pencil to deepen the outline. Draw folds in the smaller cloud.

Add a few curves

Use a light pencil to draw curvy lines inside the bigger cloud.

Some more smaller curve

Draw some small curves beside the larger ones.

Keep going

Keep adding the curves. You are doing great so far.

Let us darken the outlines

Use a dark pencil to sharpen the lines.

Add some more details

Draw a half-moon shape on the smaller cloud.

The brain drawing is done

Add another half-moon shape on the smaller cloud. Your brain drawing is completed.

Time to color

Use color pencils to color the brain from top to bottom.
