In order to draw a dancer perfectly, you must get their stance right. It doesn’t matter whether it’s a simple or sophisticated drawing, as long as you have the positioning of the arms and legs worked out, your drawing of a dancer will turn out just fine. By now, you can already tell that drawing this will be a bit difficult. However, by following the right steps, you can get it done rather easily.

To draw a dancer, we first decide on a stance, and then draw the outlines accordingly. We then work out the small details on their arms, legs and hair. Finally, to give the drawing a nice look, we use a bold pencil to redo the outlines, and then give it some nice colors.

Start with the face

The face is drawn sideways.

Add the hair

The hair is drawn in a very subtle and well-arranged manner.

Draw the arms

They are drawn in a tilted ‘L’ position.

Draw the dress

It is a beautiful dress, somewhat like a frock.

Add the legs

Draw them in a tilted upside down ‘L’ shape.

Use a dark pencil to add the small details.
