Drawing a fireman is a pretty straightforward task. After all, you can’t go wrong in drawing someone with such distinct features. But I can understand if you have troubles drawing them. I too have had my struggles with this particular drawing. However, I eventually got the hang of it and was able to draw them with ease. To draw a fireman, I follow a simple 10 step approach, something you too can try out.

To draw a fireman, I first start with the head and helmet, and make my way down to the main body. I then take my time drawing the gear and uniform, and finish things off with some last minute touches.

Start with the helmet

Draw the helmet with an oval bottom and a half-moon shaped top.

Draw the head next

Keep the head round and simple.

Add some hair

The hair is sticking out from the top of the helmet.

Add facial features

Draw the eyes, nose and mouth. Give the fireman a mustache too.

Next the body

The body is drawn in the shape of a bell.

Add the arms

Draw the fireman’s arms. Also, draw a fire hydrant in the background.

Add the legs

Keep the legs proportionate to the body.

Draw a pipe

The pipe is in the hands of the fireman and coming out of the hydrant.

Sharpen the drawing

Use a dark pencil to give the outlines a bolder look.

Final touches

Add the finishing touches to your drawing, and you are done.

Time to color

Let us start coloring our fireman now. The suit is given a bright red color as seen on firefighting uniform.
