As a child, I loved drawing fire trucks. Even today, if I ever feel like doodling, I will try drawing a fire truck and then give it a nice color. Drawing a fire truck is not that difficult. However, if you are struggling with your drawing, you can try to follow my easy and stepwise approach. It only takes about a few minutes to draw, and another few minutes to color it.
To draw a fire truck, we take a bottom to top approach. We start with the wheels, then the cabins, windows, and the tank. Next we add the ladder, and start working on the details. Once done, we give it a nice finishing touch and start coloring.
It is basically a long line with the edges rounded off.
The wheels are drawn quite far apart, given that it is a truck.
Draw the cabin and the tank behind it.
Keep going. You are doing great so far.
The ladder is on top of the tank.
Draw the windows on the cabin.
On the topside of the tank, draw two tool and control boxes for the fire truck.
Use a light pencil to add these tiny details on the truck.
Draw a couple of horizontal stripes on the tank.
Use a sharp pencil to add these last touches.
Use a bright red color for the body. Keep the stripes white. Make it look natural.
