A horse head is very easy to draw. You do not need to over complicate anything on it, just keep it simple and keep the facial features and expressions to the point. That way, the drawing can be easily completed with no struggle at all. However, if you are still confused as to how you can draw a horse head, you can take some help from the stepwise approach I follow to draw horse heads.

To draw a horse head, you start from the top. Draw the ears first, and then sketch the head. Next, move on to the mane and the neck. Finally, once the outlines are in place, just add the facial features, and you are done.

Start from the top

Draw the ear on the left side of the head.

Draw the other ear

This one goes on the right.

Sketch the head

Use a light pencil to draw the head.

Add the mane

Draw the mane on the back of the head.

Start drawing the neck

The neck is drawn in the shape of a wide funnel.

Next the eyes

Big the horse round eyes.

Draw the nostrils

They are shaped like nuts.

Add a white stripe

The stripe runs from the forehead to the nose.

Darken the outline

Use a sharp pencil to darken the outlines.

Add some detail to the hair

Make the hair look a bit more realistic by adding a few lines on it. This helps give it depth.
