How to Draw A Lemon Step by Step

A lemon is pretty easy to draw. You take a circle, and tapper it at the two ends. It is as simple as that. However, despite the simplicity, I understand that many of you find it difficult to draw a lemon. That is probably because you are not familiar with the shapes you have to work on. But if you take a quick look at the way I draw a lemon, you will get the hang of it in no time.

To draw a lemon, we first draw a circle to show the intersection, and add pulp slices to its inner side like a pizza. Then, we will draw a full lemon at the back to complement the drawing. And then, once the drawings are done, we will simply get to coloring.

Start from the bottom

Draw a crescent shaped curve.

Then the top

Draw a similar curve over the lower one.

Darken the outline

Use a dark pencil to darken the lemon outline.

Add a stalk

Draw a small stalk on the top corner of the lemon.

Start drawing the leaf

Draw a small curve on the stalk.

Finish the leaf

Draw another curve on top of the smaller curve to finish the leaf.

Keep going

Use a dark pencil to sharpen the leaf outline.

Add some details

Draw a line running across the leaf.

Add a few spots

Just throw in some dots on the lemon.

Final touches

You are almost done.

Coloring time

Gently color the lemon and the leaf.
