How to Draw A Ligthsaber Step by Step

Do you like lightsabers? I love lightsabers and I love drawing them too. Too me, lightsabers are always about getting creative, especially with the colors. I would give each of them a unique look in terms of color. I would also go overboard sometimes. And if you want to draw lightsabers, you can feel free to check out the approach I usually follow to draw mine. It is simple, quick, and quite similar to the actual thing.

To draw a lightsaber, we draw the base first, and then a tube like structure on top of it. Most of the details are on the handle of the lightsaber. For the top part, we just need to focus on the coloring.

Start from the bottom

Draw the base with a light pencil.

Make it a bit darker

Use a darker pencil to darken the outline.

Extend the base

Give it the shape of a small pipe.

Draw the grip

It is drawn a bit wider than the base.

Extend the grip

Use a light pencil to do so.

Draw the main body

Keep it long and narrow.

Darken the outline

Use a dark pencil to darken the outline.

Throw in some designs

These designs are drawn on the base handle.

Keep going

Continue with the designs.

Final touches

You are almost there.

Color it

Give the base a solid dark color.
