How to Draw A Police Car Step by Step

I loved to draw police cars when I was a child. They appealed to me for some reason. That fascination I had for them still remains, even to this day. And although I do not draw them so often anymore, I do draw them a lot better than what I used to as a kid. And in case you need some tips on how to draw a police car, feel free to check out the steps I personally follow.

To draw a police car, I simply take a top to bottom approach. My attention is always on the wheels and the lights on the roof. Coloring needs to be accurate, not necessarily detailed, if you want to make a lasting impression.

Start from the top

Draw the roof first.

Finish the body

Use a light pencil to draw the body.

Now the wheels

Keep the wheels round.

Darken the wheels

Use a dark pencil to do so.

Start working on the bumper

We will start with a light pencil.

Draw the rims

Use a light pencil to draw the rims on the wheels.

Keep going

Keep working on the details.

Work out the windows and doors

Draw the car doors and windows now.

Now the lights

Add the headlights. Also the light on the roof.

Write POLICE

Write the word POLICE on the door.

Final touches

Almost done.

Color it

The police car drawing is done. Now you just have to color it with some bright colors.
