I love vintage cars. Their shapes are quite peculiar when you compare them with modern cars. Still, I really like the vibes they give off. Hence, I enjoy drawing them as well. Initially, I had a lot of trouble drawing such vintage cars. But eventually, I mastered the art, and could draw them with ease. Now I have my own approach to drawing a vintage car, something you too can learn if you are facing troubles like I once did.

Start from the top, and then do the base. Add the wheels and other details on the car body. Finally, color the whole thing and your vintage car is ready to hit the roads.

Start from the top

Draw the top of the car first. Just a few lines will do.

Then do the base

Draw the bottom next. Add the wheel arches and show the car from an angle.

Do the front

Now draw the front part of the car. Also, add a few minor details.

Add lights

Keep the lights round. Draw the wheels as well.

Do the rims

Add the rims to your car wheels.

Add the grill

Draw a front grill for your car. Add some details to the headlights.

You are almost done. Just a few more steps to go.

Darken the outlines

Get a dark pencil for this. Draw the outlines boldly.

Finishing touches

Clean up the drawing a bit.

Color it

Give your vintage car a vintage look with some bright and flashy colors.
