An hourglass is symmetrical no matter how you look at it. To me, that is what makes it so easy to draw. Of course, not everyone thinks so. In case you cannot split the symmetry, do not worry. I can help you with your hourglass drawing with some basic tips. So just follow my lead and let us get things done.
Start with the base and the top. Then add the glass and sand. Color everything, and you are done.
A flat circle will do the trick.
Give the base a bit of height.
Draw it on top of the base.
Draw the top similar to the base and stand combination.
One on each side of the structure.
It is thick near the top and base.
Show it falling downwards.
Just a couple of more steps.
Get a dark pencil for this.
The drawing is ready. Now we just have to color it.
