Sonic is a beloved cartoon character. He is not only popular among children but also among teens and young adults. I know that many of you want to draw Sonic. But given his rather peculiar shape and structure it can get difficult to draw Sonic. I too had trouble drawing Sonic at first. Gradually however I got better at it through constant practice and have developed my own approach to drawing Sonic the hedgehog. And if you want you can check out my steps to draw him. I keep it easy and simple which is ideal for beginners as well as expert level artists.

We will take a top to bottom approach to draw Sonic. Pay special attention to the eyes and the accessories like the gloves and the boots. Finally, color and you are done.

Start with the head

Make sure to put the iconic spikes on the head.

Then the body

Keep it thin.

Add the legs

They are long and thin like sticks.

Now the mouth

Give it a nice curvature.

Add the arms

Show them swinging from the sides.

Add gloves

The gloves are rather fat.

Do not forget the shoes

Sonic needs them to run fast.

Now the ears

Keep them pointy.

Next the eyes

They are focused on running fast.

Almost there

Just a few more steps.

And now we color

The drawing is ready. Time to color.
